Chemical toxicants in the diet, and bioactive compounds that influence susceptibility to toxicants and drugs: Studies address carcinogenesis and cytotoxicity on the basis of alterations in the abundance and structure of cellular biomarkers. Results contribute to understanding molecular mechanisms of toxicity as a basis of promoting personalized prevention and therapy, and risk assessment that reduces the use of experimental animals.
